According to the nationwide PBIS website, PBIS is an evidence-based three-tiered framework created to improve and integrate all the data, systems and practices that affect a student’s everyday outcome. It is a formal process that is developed on school campuses to surround the student with support from all sides.
TDS focuses on building a campus culture that promotes the TDS Aztec way; Teamwork, Determination, and Success. Staff and teachers work together to monitor and counsel students as specific behaviors are recognized. Behavior, Academic and Attendance flow charts are used to guide all students through a series of positive re-enforcements and interventions before discipline is enforced.
Students on TDS’s campus have access to a wide array of supports, an on-campus substance abuse specialist, social worker, multiple interventionists and counselors, as well as a variety of student support groups.
TDS is honored to be recognized for the hard work and dedication our team consistently demonstrates aimed at creating a positive learning environment for all students.
